The BC AECO Innovation Summit 2026 brings together the professionals and organizations shaping the next era of construction in British Columbia. Hosted by BIMbc, the summit connects innovators, technology providers, project teams, owners, public agencies, consultants, builders, and other decision makers to discover new and emerging innovative solutions, understand what is already gaining traction, and build the relationships needed to move innovation from isolated efforts into wider industry adoption.
The pace of change in AECO is no longer something organizations can afford to observe from a distance. The solutions, capabilities, and partnerships that will influence future project delivery are already emerging, and those who engage early will be better positioned to respond.
The summit is an opportunity to see this momentum directly, meet the people behind it, and take part in the conversations shaping what comes next.
What to expect at the summit.
A curated program built around new and emerging innovative solutions for AECO — with focused opportunities to learn, present, and connect.
Innovation Showcase
A curated exhibition space where companies set up stands to demo their AECO solutions, including software, hardware, robotics, materials, and services. Exhibitors will have the opportunity to run live demos and speak directly with potential customers. The Innovation Showcase runs throughout the summit in parallel to the main agenda.
Innovation Spotlight
Participants can register for a limited Innovation Spotlight to present a new solution, project, initiative, or case study to the audience. Each spotlight is 10 minutes of presentation followed by 5 minutes of Q and A. Innovation Spotlight slots are limited and will be removed from registration once sold out.
AECO Innovation Panel
A moderated discussion with industry participants on innovation in AECO, covering perspectives from across architecture, engineering, construction, owners, technology, public sector, consulting, and builder communities.
Networking
Dedicated time to connect with innovators, technology providers, project teams, owners, public agencies, consultants, and builders shaping the future of construction in British Columbia.
